I played it for a little less than an hour. Feeling is : if there were less tanks and choppers.

Tanks + Choppers = Domination over Infrantry.

What about restricting it to 1 tank, 1 light amor, 1 Humvee, 1 chopper per map

If there are more than 1 tanks, no choppers then. If there are 2 choppers, no tanks then.

On a map like Operation SmokeScreen, it's very difficult to hide from tanks. I feel like going back to BF1942.

Just running the 16-player sized maps makes a world of difference.

I like the number of tanks. The number of bombers needs to be reduced to zero. Make them fighters instead. You can't make it from one flag to another without getting bombed.

Get in an AA you say? The range on the TV missile exceeds the lock the AA can get on the plane. Result? The Air-to-ground missile fires before the AA can lock onto the plane. At best you MIGHT get 1 shot off before you die.

Go in a jeep you say? The HUGE distance between flags is so great that the bomber can make a full pass and get you before you get to the next flag.

What's left?

I've been playing it for hours and it seems like every time i turn there is atleast an allied tank or an enemy one. These doesn't seem very balanced. Also at most bses there is usually like two tanks left behind anyway! Way too many tanks for me to like

oops bases not "bses"

1 helicopter? With no tanks? That would be sure to add balance. Just look at Iron Gator when you have the top of the ship only. There's no blatant, one-sided slaughter there.

Decreasing the amount of vehicles often just leads to an "elite few" who obtain a 20:1 k/d ratios because they got a vehicle before everyone else loaded the map. Its more map design. Iron Gator actually IS balance as a WHOLE because there's plenty of fighting to be had away from any vehicles.

I can hardly agree with you on this view I am afraid. Iron Gator is perhaps the worst one in Special Force pack. Don't forget, the MEC chopper is, correct me if I am wrong, Mi-8 which is far to heavy to fly fast and manuever for evasive. Airbourne is about 35~40 % I would say. As for the sea, the pure slaughter there. I can never land using one of the sea vehicles. The most annoying thing is that some servers which host Iron Gator never let you choose side. If you happen to fall into the MEC team where everybody is just about average including myself, the round will be over in just a little less than 10 minutes.

A bit let down after playing EF seriously, as one of you said, every time I turn around, there is either 1 enemy tank or 1 allied tank:cry: !

What about transport vehicles. Alright, 1 to 2 BMP with 1 to 2 transport vehicle like the Black Hawk or the Mi-8. Leave the tanks and choppers to the forthcoming AF. The deal here is make it a full tank battlefield or if not, don;t let the map be distributed with over-powered hardware war machine. I know the map are larger like 64 or 32, then give us some transport vehicle only then. Besides, no combat units are given stinger missile or SA-17 anything which is shoulder mounted. How do we protect ourselves from the Tigers, Typhoons and the MiGs?????

However, I do expect that AF will give us like 16 tanks, 9 light armors and 3 attack choppers on each side. 'Amor Fury' should be tank battles I suppose.
