I use to be a terrain and map maker for JO. The game mode that BF2 is using ATM is basically the same as what JO uses plus a lot less. JO has more game modes except DeathMatch. This is what I was thinking and have a few questions also that some might be able to answer. Are tickets only set to Captured Flags? How about deaths? Will tickets tick down upon me shooting someone? I was thinking of making a TDM type map and a Attack and Defend map. The TDM will only consist of Infantry Units no Vehicles except maybe Jeeps/Buggys and will be a City Map. Next will be a Attack and Defend Map which will be more of Jungle Map with 2 uncapturable flags, one of each team but in the center somewhere will be only 1 capturable flag. Whoever captures the flag first will have to defend and the other team will have to attack to take over the captured base. I know this will be a hard battle but I think would be a great idea. What do you all think?

I would love to see a map that looked like the city scape encounter on Halo 2. That was my favorite battle in that game. Basically, right after the battle in space, you're on the ground (second level??). There are some close-quarters battles, tight alleyways, rooftops, skylights, etc. It was alot of fun.

What you're describing sounds like a modified King of the Hill. I guess you would have 2 uncap's on each side and they would both try to take the center flag? Sounds like it could work. Just don't make it too tight. You want to be sure and leave some open areas for sniping, etc.

Exactly TKOTH. I think I will do the Jungle map first TKOTH then a city map. Not too many jungle maps around..

Oooh...did you ever play Rainbow Six? There is a map in there where you do an assault on a compound in a jungle clearing. Multiple levels, multiple structures. Worked well on single player. Not so sure about multi-, but the concept could be modified... Those China huts sound perfect for this...

How long have you had this game? You must be clueless.

Anyway, if you want a true TDM, you need to have uncaps and nothing else. If you put in a 3rd flag in the middle, your map turns into Zatar Wetlands where if one team has 2 flags, the other bleeds. If you want your map to be entirely about kills, you can't have capable flags. Unless there is some way you can mess with the bleeds (I'm not too savy with the editor to know this).

No harm in not knowing something. It's those who know nothing and DO nothing about it that concern me. There is a place i believe in the tweaker (the place you set flag radius) Where you can set bleed and bleed times?
