So last night I was getting some Great Wall action on, and was fortunate enough to be on a server with people who had some idea of what teamwork was (both on my team and the other team).
This lead to some amazing squad based infantry battles ontop of the wall. The small length of wall that seperates Quan Fortress from Quan Compound was where most of them happened. You'd have 5 people from one team in one of those tower sections, and another 5 people from the other team in the next tower along, both trying to push on to the next tower. Chuck in a few medics and you have some epic little battles. It was the first time in ages I got some real "wow" factor out of BF2. The wall actually makes things like smoke grenades and flashbangs very useful and important.
This map is also the rebirth of the Engineer class. Dropping mines off of the wall to block off the entrances into the inner area racks up loads of kills. Chuck in a couple of claymores to stop enemy Engineers from taking up your mines and you have the enemy completely locked out!
Anyone else got any good moments from Great Wall?

HECK YEAH last night i also had a great evening...im still new at commanding but we had a server of 36 people and everyone on my team was in squads and actually listening to what i said... we progressed through the map as i would supply the armor at key point to repair themselves and take out the enemy...we had them pinned in their uncap for soo long that we won because everyone on their team quit!
my best commander experience yet! and i only have 268 pts commanding so far! i really enjoyed being able to see the whole picture and direct my squads to where they would be the most effective...
also i know some servers say no commanders in vehicles well i covered our uncap base in a tank as engineer and repelled 6 attacks on our scanner/artys while effectively commanding!
what a rewarding experience!

Yes accually and the game had not even started. It was myself and two members of the KOEN clan (osamamymama and ace) I beleive. Anyways to make a long story short I tried to gain entry to the interior while they kicked my butt and kept me out. In between we chatted about BF2 and different strageties. Stellar people who were just a pleasure to converse with. Also I just love the map, I'm still getting used to it so I usually suffer a horrible death but I love the sniper oppurtunities it provides, I just think its a perfect fit.
Although I notice that when I am pressed up against the top part of the wall (the areo slits) my character vibrates, besides that no other problems
Anyone else get that or am I just losing it?

No, that happens to me as well. At first I thought it was lag, but my ping was around 20-30 so I guess not :S

16 player size Great Wall map, with 32 players. Wow. That is a sweet, frenetic fight.

Played with a group of Americans the other night led by a guy called Nate, wish i'd taken down his sn fully, voip squad play was immense, in 500 hours of playing best few hours i've had in a long time.

I'm actually hearing people on Voip in the Euro maps. Something that was really rare in BF2 and SF maps. Really rare.

wow this map alone makes euro a steal (im not a fan of the other two tankbased maps)....it is wicked fun, solo or with a squad
with squads there are epic fights along the walls and with solo you can have a field day sniping
great fun

yes i foundm y self in a game last ngiht where both teams had an execleent team work. well i lead a squad of about 4 or 5 men couple of meds support and i was assuassualt class. this led to a great tower to tower fight between mine and the other teams squad. we did come out on top after about 4 mins of a helluva fire fight thats only happend with me once. i play on this server alot an it was nice not to have both commaders going artillery happy everywhere. i whould love to find this in eatch round i play on great wall because i love a good squad to squad fire fight.
i can still close my eyes an vision the fire fight on the wall between the 2 towers. it was on a short strech of wall but it was very fun .
