What do you think of Euro Force? just a short review on it for the people who have had some time to play on the maps and use the vehicles, its just people have had negative views on it and if you ask me its a pretty good booster pack, the weapons, vehicles and maps are good, favorite map is Operation Smoke Screen, the helicopters for the EF are pretty good funny as hell when you see someone get in and they roll it over, but I can take it off, they are just more sensetive to damage etc, jets are pretty good, and so is armor and the graphics are real good especially in OSS.

I thought over all I got my 10 dollars worth. The maps are fun and my favorite is Great Wall. I would have to say the best part is that they fit right into vanilla BF2 and I so wish Special Forces had done this as well. I know the EA downloader did create a lot of issues for people and although I had no issue did think it was a bit hard for your average person. The new weapons, vehicles, and army is all good as well. I will be buying Armored Fury when it comes out and look forward to seeing the fight take place on U.S. soil.
My one complaint I would have was brought up by one of my squad members. Every expansion/booster continues to divide this community. The community as a whole has been rather strong and impressive considering most of us came from different titles. My teams background comes mostly from the Novalogic community which all but died due to their lack of listening to what the community wanted. When one sees a company like Activision getting ready to add more content at no charge for their Call of Duty 2 title one has to begin to wonder if this booster idea is all good. If everyone got the same content from downloading the latest patch than there would be no division in the community. I see a ton people now who get booted out when the server cycles to Euro Force. That’s kinda sad if you ask me.
So I guess my review of the content is that I over all like it but I really didn’t care for how this was all marketed to us. I will close with a quote which I thought really summed up my friends response to the booster as I feel it really does have major weight. On a related note the person who said it has worked for a major game development company.
“EA has taken giant steps towards ruining what gaming is with BF2. They took a fun mod - Desert Combat - and turned it into a money machine. From booster packs to server rentals, they are squeezing every last dime they can out of it's community. Other than graphics, there has been absolutely no innovation in these "new" games EA is releasing. ALL HYPE, NO SUBSTANCE.
You wanna know where things like day-night cycle, commanders map, server queue and different game types come from? They come from companies that love making games. EA is not making games bro, they are making products.”

The skinny-
-2 solid maps-Smoke screen-Tabara Quarry with one exceptional one- Great Wall-
Vehicles are solid-
Weapons are great-much better thatn the ones in SF-except for P90-which is the worst unlock overall
Only negative- the voices which are so bad they can become annoying when being Spamed
-A worthy purchase for even casual BF2 gamers

I like it, i notice yesterday some kinf of bug i think in smoke screen, i was gunner on a helo, but could not see the Mobile AA, they could shoot at me, and i see the bullet trail, but is like the vehicle was not there, unless i was extremely close. Anyone notice this. Also the AA's where on the windfarm and i was playing as mec.
P.S. Sup souljah i was playing with you the other day on SF, you were commanding.

I Like the maps on the whole and like having another 3 maps to choose from. But as with the previous poster I'm worried about the divison of the gaming public, and can see that eventually the servers out there will revert to vanilla only servers.
Also i was expecting a Karkand/sharqi map for the PLA, I dont think great wall fills that role.

At £5.99 it's already paid for itself. No major gripes, except the maps are far better played with 64 people, yet in the UK at least, official EA servers stick to 32.

Overall, it's a good addition to BF2. Integration with vanilla BF2 is a good lesson learned from SF. But, like SF, it feels only half done. Generally the weaponry and equipment is good - very well balanced. But there is also too much American equipment and vehicles to make this a truly EU army - the same mistake was made with SF, the armies are half finished, and it FEELS half finished.
As for playing, my experiences of the map can be summed up thus:
If you are into tanks, jets and attack helos, you're laughing. Infanteers need not apply. Groundpounders generally have no cover while moving between flags, which means long walks and repeated deaths for nothing.
Great wall holds the best potential for infantry combat, but so far all I've seen is armour whores reigning supreme. The structure of the map also compartmentalises every flag, so getting to each one is a real pain.
All EF needs to be REALLY good is a couple of intense urban maps like Sharqi or Karkand, and it will rock.
My humble opinion.

I like is so far, not really played Wreat Wall or Tabara Quarry much as no one is playing them much are they?... Smoke screen is a good map, played all last weeked, but then again I am a Armour/Eng fan.

If they release some troop oriented maps it will be a killer I think. The new weapons seem to be very promising on the surface.

Even though theres armor whores, in BF2 vanilla, you couldn't really stop them because either no one went Anti-tank/Spec-Ops or armor on that team isn't available, but saying that in Euro Force its a different story, theres lots of tanks for each team, so Armor is mainly focusing on Armor if you ask me, and helis > tanks and jets > helis and tanks, so really infantry isn't subjected to it all.
I agree that there should be a few city based maps, Sharqi is my favorite map along with Karkand most played anyway.

Smoke screen, and Tarraba kind of reminds me of 1942 DC mod, El Alamein
I just wish more BF2 players would download it as |2es have two of the maps in rotation and when they are played it sometimes kills the server:(
Cheers

I think the infantry is actually plausible in all 3 maps.
With fast attack buggies it's posisble to cruise around on quarry and smokescreen avoiding tanks and trying to cap flags which are un protected.
And on Wall - all I got to say is that one crumbled down section of the wall.. is pure mayhem for ground pounders - careful with the AP mines though - much better on a no FF server. Also - there are shortcuts whihc help out a bit once you get to know the map well.

Cool, then I would like it, since I enjoy the tanks and helos. Seems llike they should have made a city map like Karkand.
I think I've played EF for all of 3 hours since I bought it. If I could ebay it, I would.
I made the mistake of expecting some semblance of balance between vehicles and infantry.

Good game
My one complaint is that the Typhoon needs a better Yaw than the F-15. The fighter should be able to out turn the bomber which it can't. Simply stupid otherwise. And this doesn't not mean decrease the bomber's Yaw. Just so an lame brained EA rep understands.

i played on my clanmate's computer.. seems ok... 3 maps get really boring tough... and the only good infantry 1 seems the gr8 wall, which is dominated by the FAMAS... meh.. its ok tough..

I found the booster pack to be pretty enjoyable. Admitedly, I'm an armor whore, but these maps definitely cater to vehicle-oriented players. There's nothing like getting a whole column of armor moving around on Smoke Screen or Taraba Quarry rolling from flag to flag. I had some great rounds last night doing just that. You can really get some fierce armor battles going and it pays to be in a coordinated squad.

Well that's fair enough, but you can't deny that with so much open ground between each flag, infantry is generally screwed. That is the point I was trying to make.

I really like Euroforce, but I haven't gotten to play it more than 1.5 hours because I'm busy with school and stuff now. Hopefully over the summer I'll get to play it a lot more.
