WTF, I was playing EF and then got kicked...

and a message from EA stating that I can't play EF maps unless I download the booster pack. Funny thing is that I paid for the booster pack, DL'ed it and played it for a night or two until this happened. I restarted the game, my comp and then played vanilla bf2 for a day and I am still getting this EA message that I need to install EF. WTF??? I was playing on Taraba Quarry, the map finished with me in 1st place and recieving a gold medal. I was then disconnected from the server and the message popped up. I checked to see if the server reset or something and noticed everyone else on the server had been kicked as well. I wonder if they too had EF uninstalled in some way from thier systems like me. I guess I could try to reinstall but EA downloader says ready "to play" and doesn't give me an option to DL again. Anyone else have this problem??? What can I do???

Close BF2 ... open it then play. Should work.

Happened to me the other day. After restarting BF2 and checking that server again, it was running normal BF2 maps... go figure. I jumped into another EF server just fine.

for some reason it is still telling me the same thing, that I need to install EF??? I restarted the game and my comp. In the stickies I found the instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling but I can't find the EF file in control panel/add remove programs.

open your ea downloader and click on edit your game spy nickname then put your bf2 nickname in two boxes close it down wait a couple of min so the server can update then it sholud work.

did you uninstall the EA downloader? i remember it saying that i might not be able to Euro Forces if i uninstalled it, so i left it.

hi there i have the exact same problem ive been playing bf2 euro since release with no problems whatsoever but now it says i need to purchase it when i try join a euro server. sometimes it randomly lets me join a euro server but then it will kick me after about a min or so saying punkbuster has kicked you because of client authentication... wtf please someone help this is really annoying...argh

ok, first off go into your ea downloader to were it says change gamespy nickname, ps:your gamespy nick name is bf2 account, make it your bf2 account name and Bobs ur uncle

Yeah didnt try that. omg you really think i havent already done that my name is correctly on the downloader i have played euro forces for over a week until it randomly started saying this.

Someone come up with a more encouraging answer...

Got the same problem right now, unable to connect to any euro force server whatsoever... Dont think it's just us though, if you check the boosterpack servers they'r all mostly empty.

I've logged in on the EA downloader, looks like its logged in but the pages arent opening ( i got the page cannot be found error )

Tried loggin in to EA games forums and I get this:
Due to technical difficulties beyond our control, we are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later. [0]

And i've played the game before, so the gamespy-id ( bf2 nick:rolleyes: ) is correct.

Yeah same thing for me, I have played it since it came out, got the message today, please buy the game bla bla bla...

So I tried to connect to EA downloader, to change my gamespy ID (again) to the same as my BF2 account, but I cant get connect to the server... it says... please try again later !
I am getting really ****ed at EA now.

i phoned ea 10 mins ago they said they were unable to assist me until 3pm gmt as there servers or summat are getting maintenance. he said this happens every tuesday until 3 so i guess we wait and try later.
hope this helps. why have they made it so hard to play euro even the ones who pay cant play it.

i originally thought it was because i had installed special forces (just got ti today :D ) and i repatched back to 1.21 . Anyway vanilla bf2 play fine and so does special forces and so did euro force yesterday and the day before. But now i get that message of you must install blah blah blah. 3pm gmt you say ? oh well :(

I was just playing EF last night and today (wednesday aussie time) i cant. Same as everyone else here, i must pay or else. Hopefully it is just a glitch or maintenance.
