I have a couple questions about the way BF2 handles sky textures, and sky textures in general.
From what I've looked at, the way BF2 handles skies (correct me if I'm wrong) is it wraps a long 2048x512 image around a geometrical Half circle in the sky. Which means there is not top image, it just uses all the tops of the long image together to make a top.
I need to know a way to pop this texture into a program like Bryce5 and be able to re-extract another set of sky textures. I need to turn this long Bf2 sky texture into 5 different textures (Left,Right,Front,Back,Top).
Anyone know how to do this?
Also, if anyone has any skills on making sky textures from scratch....wanna point me in the right direction?
