Unable to install patch 1.12->1.2

i'm having troubles patching 1.12->1.2
i just bought BF:SF and i know i have to first install 1.12 first then 1.12->1.2
but after i install 1.12 and try to install 1.12->1.2, it always says "This Patch Requires Battlefield 2 v1.12 to be installed". What can i do to install this patch??

uninstall bf2, download latest patch again full patch it will be big about 300-500 meg not sure on size, install full patch. job done
