Guys, after upgrading on the 1.22 I expected that these ughly bugs are history, but they are still there! :hmm:
I'm alone who have these two major problems - first, the sound bug. When player run too much and get stressed too much, then many times either the rapid breathing or the heart pounding get "stuck" and sound even when it should not sound anymore.
Same with weapons on other players, sometimes, but that should be explained by packet loss sometimes. The same excuse is not valid there, so, when DICE is planing to fix THIS? I been waiting since v1.00 for that! :hmm:
I exchanged 3 mainboardy, 2 soundcards including Audigy2zs and X-Fi Fatal1ty I using now with YouPax drivers (only for the Audigy ATM) and orgiginal latest Creative drivers and the bug is still there, damn it.
I expected the X-Fi will do this alone and then the bug get fixed - but nooo! :(

Second bug is flag icon visibility. It is extremly important for gameplay that one see witch flag is enemy, with friendly and witch is ATM being retaken or captured by the enemy. Sometimes this nice little icons (they are drawn as sprites by the game - sprite like the mouse) disapear and it take BF2 restart to get them back in. That suxx entierly and very very much hurt the gameplay. This is not just annoing sound, this is a serious problem.
The bug can be repeated easily when one switch from the game to windows (at least in earlier versions this was the case, I not tried it already with 1.22) but they get missing todays for me w/o this action...!!!
Now this is quite bad.

Other clanmembers say the same problems, but I better ask more guys about it, so, who know these quirks, guys?

The sound problem I don't know of, but the flag icon bug. Did you happen to press ALT? ALT removes the icons off the main view. Pressing it again will bring back the icons.

You may want to try setting the sound to software in the setup and go out and test it out.

I have also read in some of the BF2 related forums that setting the sound to software, then starting a singleplayer game and play for a few minutes, then go back to the hardware sound settings fixes some problems with the SoundBlasters. Apparently to configs get fuxored sometimes when saving/patching/etc.
