game problem HELP

Hi all, i'm new here,

I have a problem with my BF2, when I don't update BF2 i can host, play offline, and join games. But After I update (doesn't matter with wich one) then I can host or play offline. My game just closes and goes to the desktop. Does anyone now how I can fix this ? :cry:

are you using the full patch or a collection of various patches you have downloaded ?

Well I had this happen after the newest path and this is what I did to fix it. After installing the updates (not the full patch) I then went and browsed the BF2 cd and clicked on the setup icon and then on "Modify" selecting all options. After that I never had another crash to desktop.
