2 ingame problems!

i use the arrow keys so my crouch button is right ctrl.... i try yesterday and it wont work, so i look at the button layout and it still says right ctrl.. so i just reset the control scheme.. it still wont crouch.. i mapped crouch to some other buttons too and they still wont work.. the only button that works is left CTRL and that isnt even on the crouch list..

my help tools wont go away in game it is very annoying to hear them everytime i go to play a game.. i do not see an option in options to take them away.. anyone?

If you do a search I think you can find the anwser to problem #2.
I saw it posted somewhere once.

For #1
Try and make a new account and see if the default keys work.
Then if it does work, use that account to set your keys up the way you like them. When you are done, go to my documents/bf2/profiles folder and copy the controls.con from the account you just made to your original account.

One will be called 001 and the other 002 or 003 depending on how many accounts you have made.

Are you talking about the voice over that tells you to throw a grenade click the left mouse button voice over? or the tooltips ?

Voice over, you can search the forum, someone has posted a complete block of text you can paste into your general.con (in profiles) and you won't hear the voices anymore. They only talk once for each thing. So eventually you won't hear anything anymore.

^i know they only once for each thing.. but after a period of a few weeks they do it again
