game shuts down when i join server

i never had this problem before until now, i recently got proted to lance corpral if that means anything, but now my game shuts down when i try to join a server. all system requirements are fine, help?

what are you specs any ways.

i have no idea, amd 4000 geforce 7800 and so on, but my game shuts down totally when i try to join a server

also when i first open the game, it says something about some patch, but i need to pay for it so i dunno....

Will Anyone Help Me?

This has been happening to me on occasion..I load up a map but when it tries to bring up my spawn screen it CTD's.It does it all the time on special forces so i dont even play it anymore.This has started just recently and i havent figured out the cause of it as of yet.All i know is i never had ANY issues before this last patch.
