Sure. I got my laptop this morning :)
Sony Vaio SZ1M/B
1.66ghz core duo
geforce go 7400 128mb
1gig ram (upgraded from 512mb)
13.3" wide screen (XBlack is beautiful)
Runs at high settings with steady FPS or Medium even faster.
I got my mine from www.laptopsdirect.co.uk. They fitted it with 512mb extra ram for just £50, and delivered the next day.
Im very happy with it, BUT BF2 does not do widescreen, so the edges of the screen are filled with black. Also, in video settings, i can only do 2 different relolutions (800x600 and 1280x800). Still, it does look great, and eats my desktop for breakfast (see sig)!
Hope this Helps!
For a COMPACT laptop, id definately look at this.

The graphics card is the most important thing you should look for in a laptop if you want to play BF2. Any graphics chipset with the second digit in it higher than 6 should suffice (i.e. X600, 6600, 7600, X1600, etc). Other components are rather academic, as any laptop with a good graphics card will have good components all round (i.e. decent CPU/RAM/HDD).
What's your budget and where in the world are you?

The problem with laptops is that to get a really powerful one, it needs to be big. Basically, the smaller you get, the less powerful it is.

yea i noticed that when i was using my dads laptop (mac) to write a paper. I always hit the caps lock key instead of the A key. It ****ed me off so bad...
I once used my AMD 64 Laptop till I built my new Desktop. I use it at work when I do 24 Hr duty and can find a hotspot to log into BF2. :)

I use my desktop. I plan to get a laptop next year for college, but there's no way I'll be able to play BF2 on it. It's fine for me as long as it can run a word processor.

Define your "high settings"
the 7400 is a fairly low end card and with only 1GB of ram must get choppy?
I will be looking into a laptop sometime this summer for school.
But I will use my desktop for gaming.

The automatic "high settings" from the menu. I upped the shadows aswell. I was really surprised at how well it ran, thinking it wouldnt even run at all wen i first installed it :).

I use a laptop for vacation or whenever i can sneak it to play battlefield 2.
E1505
Intel Centrino Duo Core 2.00 Ghz
1Gb
Radeon X1400 256MB
Plays BF2 all on high at 1024x768@60Ghz with 6x AA.
On the third voting choice, why would anyone wanna put BF2 on your work computer that STAYS ON YOUR WORK BUILDING. You'd get fired if your caught, and some jobs occasionally have a computer check.
...I'm gonna try it!!
