Hi,
I have just bought Battlefield 2 and when I tried to start it, the menu didn't even appear. I got this error :

I looked on this website and it said that my computer is compatible with this game....

Oh I almost forgot, I downloaded and installed the patch "bf2patch1.22" and it didn't change a thing.
Help me please!

Is this the full patch 1.22? or the incremental?
Guys, does that v1.0.2442.0..... sound right?

Delete that Belarc page, it has your windows and office keys in there for other people to steal..

Can you right Click BF2 Icon Go to proparties Look where it ses target and change fullscreen from 1 to 0 load up Bf2 should start in Half screen It should Give you error message when it crashis Post up and tell me what it ses :-) Peace Boris

But I have it...
In dx diag :
DirectX 9.0 (4.09.0000.0900)
Is this the full patch 1.22? or the incremental?

I took this screenshot before I updated, but it's the same results with the new version.

My DirectX 9.0C version is 4.09.0000.0904

When I try to install directx 9c the setup goes directly to the end withoud really copy files...
I have seen this before with RTM and pre release versions of windows, dx setup says its all good but its not. Try reinstalling SP2.

My friend had that happen also, his version of windows was.. 'dodgy'
We fixed it by installing a up to date legit version of windows and no problems afterwards
See if you can uninstall DirectX and then reinstall DirectX 9.0C
