Minty has a problem similar to a lot of people, he hits Battlefield 2 icon and it goes to the splash screen for about 2 minutes, then crashes and thats it. I spent some time trying to help him on xfire, and couldnt not solve it. here is some info about his system and some info you might need when trying to help him. maybe we can solve this because I am stumped.
The Problem:
When he clicks Icon is loads the battlefield2 splash for 2 minutes, then dissapears and he doesnt get to play.
This happened before, and after he patched it.
he also reinstalled and it still didnt work.
his system:
1gb ram, AMD athlon 64 3200+, ATi x1600pro
all video drivers up to date (he can play source at max around 70fps.)
motherboard drivers up to date.
direct x is installed.
his CD drive supposedlly sucks, and Im sorta thinking that is the problem.
umm if i remember anything Ill post it, and I gave him the thread so he can add stuff too. hopeyou get help minty!
