I remember there is a way to modify the shortcut to get any resolution you want, but I can't remember or find what that shortcut line is, or where I add it. I am on a dell 21" Widescreen (1650 x 1080) and was hoping to get that resolution in BF2.... is it possible?

I tried editing the video.con file to fit these settings, but that didn't work.... BF2 will load up, then crap out.

Also, is there any way to get 8AA I can only get 4AA and the same thing.... when I go into video.con to set it to 8, it craps out.

First of all, bf2 doesn't support widescreen so you're hosed anyway.
Add the desired resolution to the shortcut

e.g. "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1650 +szy 1080

You have to disable aa ingame and set it in the nvidia control panel.Same goes for af. Or you could use nHancer:

Go to the bf2 profile, tweak it how you want. Select the profile in the control panel, disable aa and af ingame, and it should work fine.
