Armoured Fury First Impressions

People that went to BFCon06 last weekend were able to watch some Armoured Fury gameplay. It's in German, bits I could figure out were that the Littlebird is nice and fast, and the maps are well balanced. Only bad comment seems to be that the booster pack has no new weapons.

I won't get it until I see some reviews/praise/complaints first. Euro Force was enough armor for me, and I usually play AT. The maps might be nice, but I'm betting only air and tank whores will want to play AF. I doubt it will be fun for ground troops.

But then, maybe the tankers and pilots will all switch to AF and leave the old maps to the rest of us.

I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped with EF (only really enjoying smoke screen) but this looks a lot better. At least if we need to rack up armour or flying time we can load up EF or AF and not worry about getting tk'd for a chopper!

I think a cool infantry map might be something like an amphibious landing by a small force of PLA on Vancouver Island (there's an ammunition depot on the southwest point of the island near Victoria that is very hilly and forested..but yet has roads for a couple of tanks or jeeps. It wouldn't be good for jets, but choppers might be neat too. Is there a Battlefield 2 editor out?

Well technically if you bought EF you didn't buy the new weapons in that either, they were in patch 1.2, so AF is not different.
