BattleGroup Frontlines Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the BattleGroup Frontlines (http://www.bgfmod.com/) mod website. In this third update they are showing off their T-34/76. Take a look:

Welcome to another Battlegroup: Frontlines news update. Today we have only one thing to show off but we feel it merits its own update, the T-34/76 Model 1941 ingame! It was modelled by Koricus, skinned by Koricus and Tomcraft, coded by Koricus, and the WIP map it’s on and screenshots were taken by Benseras.

Looking good, I hope this is a more Arcade style WWII mod so that if I get tired of the ultra realism of FH I can come to this for a little BF42 style action. :D

The main mod will be arcade style similar to what BattleGroup42 was for BF1942, there will be an ultra realism mini-mod that will alongside the main release.

Stupid question: what reference used for making of this tank?
For me it's looks like a mixture of 1941, 42 and 43 production design :D

P.S. in reality Red Army haven't T-34/76 tank - T-34, T-34/57 and T-34/85 only:laugh:

Minor? :) Heh... it's like a mixture of STZ and KhTZ tanks. With late UTZ 1942 bow MG mask and winter 1942-43 hull hand-rails. Turret more looks like a fall 1941 - winter 1942 STZ.:rolleyes:

Called "Prinadlezhit-Chetverki" ("34" in Russian) by their crews
It doesn't mean 34 in russian. "Chetverki" stands for Four's, as in (Bob's). "Prinadlezhit" means "Belongs to.." So the phrase is, Belongs to four(#4).

What's your point man? Jeeze, you're not doing the FH mod, devs and community any kind of a favour. If you can't post something remotely positive then just don't post and move on.

Dammit, sorry guys, about the update. The t34 looks nice, I'm anxious about your first release being Eastern front. I'm also anxious about the ultra-realism mini-mod that you're talking about. Is that reminant of the Frontlines approach to the WWII mod genre?

ww2freak, just stop...NOW, in each news thread of XWW2 or BGF you pop out flaming and comparing it with our mod. You just discourages moders that are working for free in a theme that theorically you love, WW2 (your nick seems to say that) and you ashame the FH team and the mature FH fans.

Nobody forces you to post "good work" if you don't like or to download and install a mod you dislike. So just DON'T POST. Constructive criticism is an art and i am afraid you have not skills for this art.

In BGF there are devs that have donated stuff to FH: Benseras created the map Zitadelle, BG donated us one tank used in that map, Otolikos created Ramelle and In the Hell of Bocage, maps that I guess you have enjoyed a lot, with this actitude you are showing ingratitude and total lack of fairplay.

In my 4 years of experience in moding this actitude (sadly all mods have fans like you) is just negative, for everybody, for the mods you critic and for your "beloved" mod, so, for the God sake, just stop

And I created the Tundra map BG42 uses (or used to use, I dont know if it is still in there.) ;)

But I wasn't with FH when I donated that :)

And the first Garand used by XWW2 had a skin done by me and I helped them with the UVW map of their m1 carbine.

It is very sad sometims the childiss behaviour of some diehard fans create artificial hates between mods. It's our responsability as moders don't allow they ruin our fun and work for free.

BTW Augustus yes we still use Tundra, we added a few bases as you may recall though.

Indeed, I think all of us have helped each other out at one point or another. That's what modders should do.
