US Intervention v0.1 Released

The <a href="http://usi.jarhedz.com">US Intervention</a> mod team has some exciting news to report to you today; they have released their first public version of the US Intervention mod!

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare your rigs and seal off your pcrooms, because you wouldn't want to get disturbed for the coming days. That's right, USI is finally available!!! So stop all your downloads and start downloading USI at www.jarhedz.com, www.totalbf2.com, www.planetbattlefield.com, www.battlefield2arena.com,
www.bf2-mods.de, www.bf2live.com or your favorite BF2 community site. These partners will also have a server set up with USI so you won't have to wait for a place to play on.

Look, I'm going to be brutally honest here because I feel it has to be said. Knowing full well that you're releasing one of the most anticipated mods for BF2, you really ****ed up the pre-release preparations. You have one file server which is crumbling under the load, you're picking random popular sites out of a hat and saying "Download it here!" without providing them with a private mirror, or giving them access to the file prior to go-time. How did you ever hope that this would go smoothly?

Let it be said, 24kpbs is not a good download speed, and when I'm sharing what's likely a single fileserver with a metric ****tonne of other users I'm not surprised.

.. you have to have a torrent handler such as azeruz or utorrent in order to open the torrent file. than that will download the real mod..

LOL, you have to download bitlord, or azuras to open the torent. go to bitlord.com download it , install it. then open the torent and youl start the dl.

its because everyone and their brother is trying to download it from one slow server, there are no mirrors set up for it. anyone havea proper torrent for this? the one listed in this thread wont even start, "tracker response decoding failed"

Never used bit torrents. I downloaded Utorrent and opened the rar file and i think im dling, After its done do I just run the program ?? Again I have never used bittorrents. Plus to help others out I just live it on when im playing or ?? I used default setting cause I dont know anything about this **** .

bitlord is blocking it because the tracker isnt set up correctly, if anyone gets this finished start a correct torrent with a proper tracker, most torrent clients will block this one. guess ill try azureus

that torrent has a bad tracker, not to many people are going to beable to connect, a new torrent with proper tracking needs to be set up or noone will get it finished.

OPK has awesome maps and plays great for a first release I really liked it. Lots of custom statics too, I love mods that have lots of custom statics because it makes it feel like a whole different game.

go to your peers tab and right click on the white. you should get a menu saying add peer. just copy and pastee the IP:PORT

Unclick everything. Leave - Populated only, not password locked, and Same Mod, oh and maybe same version.

Make sure you don't have Punkbuster and Ranked checked.

its relevent to your upload speed, the faster your uploading it the faster youll download it, dont throttle your upload if you want it faster.

After you have installed it, launch USI via the shortcut. Then once you're in the menu, click connect to IP. Type; fozzy.jarhedz.com where the IP should be. The port is 16567 and there is no password.

did you install the mod? Otherwise you may have no selected "create an icon" before installing.
Copy pas your battlefield 2 shortcut that is on your desktop. Rename it to USI. Right click and then click on properties. Then in the 1st field from the top(target) type " +modPath mods/USI" behind what's already written. And there has to be a space between what's written and what you are adding.

Hey no problem man, I heard from a mod dev that it's very nice so I'll try it out. Besides FH for BF1942 was 2.1 Gigs big and torrents were (and are) the best way of spreading files of those sizes. I will seed all night long, but I only have like 55 up so it's not much.

its your connection, your not uploading fast enough, torrents are upload dependant, the faster you upload the faster youl download.
