SWAT Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the SWAT (http://swatmod.orgfree.com/) mod website. They have some new models to show. Take a look:

First off today we have the HH-1H helicopter used by S.W.A.T. Teams to reach hard to get areas. It will be fast but have no weapons on and will be unable to "rape" like bf2's Blackhawk. This model is by Havoc and is still waiting to be skinned. Next we have the mp-5 Modeled by Didi doom. As you can see its still waiting for a skin. Now we have the good old trusty famas, modeled by hamsteyr and skinned by Didi doom.Also be sure to stop by our NEW site, yes we changed yet again. http://swatmod.orgfree.com/ We also are in need of help of weapon modelers and building modelers, or any area at all, thanks for your time and see you next up-date.

EDIT: Just found out that it only had two.. :)

Models and skins look great. If I knew how to model weapons, I would've helped you out.

looks pretty cool, must still be in earlier development though. probably wont be out for a while though, will be a different experience than vanilla bf2

Whats your take on weapon accuracy and power on the hand weapons? Realism/arcady or something in between?

they look like great models.. there is just one thing i noticed, the chairs in the huey, they just dont look right.. great model couldnt fault the exterior. not trying to flame or anything just trying to help :D

Yeah I googled some pics and found only Vietnam Era and commercial Huey colors that wouldnt fit a SWAT one so I guess black or gray with the SWAT logo would look cool:D

I hate to rain on your party but SWAT is a registered trademarks of Sierra Entertainment, Inc, they own it and you don't. You might get a nasty letter from an attorney someday, it doesn’t matter that you’re not making money off of the game, there’s been modifications for Unreal that have tried to use SWAT and they had to change their name.

I'm just saying, don't be surprised if it happens. I don't think adding Operations to S.W.A.T. will help you much, but good luck with that.

Why would SWAT be illegal to use? SWAT is a name of.... SWAT(Special Weapons and Tactics?). That's like saying that somebody licensed the name Police, so you can't use it.
