Ive been getting about 15 to 20 FPS and sometimes below but it minimums at 15 all the time any map. I run it with either 32 or 48 bots, either way its about the same. Its real hard at times to play if I go off into a space where no ones at I will have like 30-60 its random.
I know bots are alot of processing but shouldnt I get more than 15 minimum frames per second? Im running everything on medium and no anti alias, and my resolution is 1024 X 768.
I have 2gb pc3200 ddr400 ocz, evga geforce 7900gt, amd athlon 3800 X2, a dfi n4 mobo, and a normal 7200rpm hdd.. Shouldnt I get better? 3dmark05 gets around 8000-8400 score. I cant run 06 because my monitor cant go past 1024 x 768.

Your hardware is good, I would check for aging parts or any issues, though. It sounds like what you are experiencing is a software problem. What is going on in the background of your PC that is using up your system resources?
How old is your PC? Mabey its time to reformat? XP gets really sluggish after a few years.

Make sure you have chipset drivers installed, check card temps, make sure Vsync isnt on, etc. I don't even get that low and I am having a similar problem.

hmm you should get alot higher than that, have you got spyware running in the back ground?
try updating drivers from windows updates, mobo, gfx etc.
also try this site www.pcpitstop.com its free so sign up it will check your pc for issues.
while we are on this subject does anyone know how to unlock the fps?
mines locked on 99.1 sometimes it goes down to 80ish fps.
on maximum settings,

well my computer is bran new. Right now i have some stuff on it around 30-40 background programs i shut most of my stuff off during bf2. But the thing is, BEFORE, (When I had nothing on the pc, not even connect to the internet, and I had gotten all updates and driver updates on a disk for installing) it ran exactly the same. Im kind of ****ed because I bought a 300 dollar video card and spend 1400 on the pc, buying everything for it. The video card and memory is running at the speeds there supposed to so I dont get whats wrong. I could understand having tons of stuff on the pc would effect it but, bf2 was one of the first things i installed after all the important updates and drivers, and even reinstalled bf2 a few times and the FPS is crap.
Im not sure what vsync is but the pcpitstop program didnt find anything really, said it had a few registry errors.
