Many possible reasons and solution, have you used the search button yet?

#1. System specs please.
#2. What are your temps like? Are all of your fans on and working?
#3. Are you overclocking? If so, don't.

Sounds like its #2 or #3, or a combination of both...
You can oc, but you need to know what you're doing. My cpu, vid card, and ram all have been "adjusted" :D - and the system runs just fine.

I'm not saying you can't oc in general...but you can't oc if it's causing your system to get stressed and BF2 to crash ;)

If it's crashing, that's a hardware-software failure. It's probably the crappy Creative drivers. You need the OpenAL patch. ->google

But temps CAN become a problem.
So CHECK your temps.
Check all of your fans to make sure they are working. CPU/GPU/PSU/chassis, everything.
Use compressed air and clean all the dust and gunk outta your case and especially around the fans and heatsinks.
Also, how old and what wattage is your PSU?

my game is also crashing after 5 - 10 mins
p4 3.2
6800gt
2 gig ram
nothing overclocked.
i havent pld the game for about 3 - 4 weeks.. started it up today and after a short while the screen just dies and fuzzy pink/green/black lines appear on it.. all i can do is reset my pc as nothin else works.
i had the same problem a few months ago and noticed my PSU was getting really hot, so i upgraded my case and PSU and the problem went away.. so whys it come back now ????

my pc is brand new, 3800 x2, 7900gt, 2gb ocz, and it crashes at random times for no reason, like i might aboard helicopter and it crashes or i shoot someone and bam it crashes or i enter some kind of jeep or something, or just totally random. Happens every time I play but usally within a half hour period.

it seems ive fixed the problem by altering the voltage to my AGP slot.. it was set at 1.55 and ive changed it to 1.6.. all the crashing seems to have stopped
