If poe (point of existence) is released before AF is, will u still buy AF?

I have no doubt that the poe team will put out something of far better quality for FREE then anything DICE/EA could charge me for. However I still only live to fly the Little Bird and will submit $9.99 USD to do so, only if AF is released first.

I wonder how many other people really only want to buy AF for the sake of something different then our day to day bf2; i.e a NEW MAP, plane, car, train, etc? If will a mod that you have been waiting for comes out before AF is released will that delay or negate your decision to fork over $9.99 USD?

Has there been a set release date now for AF? And why wouldn't poe be released in less then 2 weeks? Just from reading it seemed like the only hold up at this point was 1.3 and some quality control.

Also I really should of pointed out better that I meant any mod, poe is just one that I am really looking forward to and Forgotten Hope 2 etc.
Any release of these mods will delay and most likely negate my purchase of AF, just wondering if other people are in the same boat.

Its ridiculous. Its like dice doesn't want to support the modders at all. Gawd they mon-ay grubbin bastids aren't they? Its probably cause of this rank thing. And the added fact that nobody would want a mod that they don't think anybody would be playing on a server.

Erm did you play POE for BF:V? It rocked, this one will too even though i hear the 1.3 patch has screwed modding over even further. You played USI or PR? wouldn't exactly call them not worth playing...

I wouldn't have bought SF or EF if POE2 was available. POE:V was great and considering a lot less people bought BFV, there was no problem finding populated POE servers. I don't think you'll have any problem finding POE2 servers once it's out.

I too have played some of the BF2 mods and will play newer released ones as well. But Im still buying pretty much anything EA puts out as an addition to BF2.

Why not.. some of you argue "well EA isnt supporting us" "EA puts out crappy patches" etc etc... its getting so old its annoying at best to read all the arguments.

Those who are arguing over it so much and for hating it so much.. DONT PLAY IT go away and live in another game. Dont pass up a worthless Ten Dollars --- dont even get me started on just how worthless ten dollars is anymore and has been for a long time---

If I could have one wish for the BF2 genre.. put all the whiners and complainers on a BF2 map and patch the heck out of it till they cant take it no more! So much so that they move on to another ARCADE game like Quake etc..

I think most of the complainers are those who only play BF2 since its the best thing out there variety wise at the moment.. but they would be the first to play an FPS that they can bunny hop or drive other gamers nuts, who would rather play along as others do and would like to play the game the way it was meant to be by following server rules and general population bf2 gamer rules, they would rather be idiots litterally in game ruining it for others.. just please go and never come back.. that would make me happy.

BTW Project Mini Mod is a sweet new addition as is USI and others.. and even the new AF has some awesome atmosphere as well as some "well" planned out maps. So they are all worth playing in thier own way.. would I pay for a mod.. no but I will pay for EA's just for the sole purpose to rank it up with all the others that shut thier traps and put out thier ten bucks just to have some fun with the non whiners.

Apple - it's not about the price, thats not even an issue. (for most of us anyways) I'm no EA hater by any means and will probably buy 2142 when it comes out alond with Spore, the 3 games that Speilberg is making for them and any and all EA sports games but i won't waste another cent on this bugged out installment (BF:2). Thats not a complaint it's just a fact. Also if the community didn't rant and rave so much about issues that surround the game do you think we would have as many patches released as we already have? Lets look at it another way, if the community didn't complain about ingame/server issues what do you think BF:2142 would be like??????? Just take a guess.....Can't guess? I'll tell you, the simple fact is BF:2142 would be plagued with the EXACT some issues. For someone like you to complain about the community complaining it's just counter productive and if we didn't complain the same issues would be in BF:2142. One of the makers of BF:2142 has already stated that they are doing their absolute best to make sure BF:2142 doesn't ship with all the bugs BF:2 did, so obviously they are listening to the community in attempt to correct BF:2 and BF:2142 "BEFORE" it comes out.

Ok Im not disagreeing.. I am rather disagreeing to AGREE.. I want people to complain.. things get done.. the squeeky wheel gets the grease per say.. But one thing I cant stand is counterproductive whining and complaing that ends up inhibiting the game more than help it.

If people have complaints they hsould be structured and have an alternate outcome.. not just base arguments from one side only.. Give examples and maybe even a suggestion on how to go about fixing it.. Some people on these forums have done just that.. Unfortunately more of the simple whiners and complainers are being listened to as they are the loudest in this community.

Im just sick n tired of hearing/reading it. Do I have to read.. no but being informed is far better than basing complaints against something your un knowledgeable about.

All I am asking is that people stop a little beofre posting complaints and actually reading what they are posting before hitting enter.. as the community or EA Dice may see it a different way and then we get a misrepresentation of what the community really does want in the game.. Take your time make the complaints structured is all I ask.

Apple - I'm in complete agreement with you on how most people complain for the sake of complaining and nothing else. That ****es me off too, but you also have to understand that any video game you play so do thousands of young children (many who post in these fourms) and thats where we get most of the constant whining from (like it or not).
