The only legit was is to make a mini image, but without a CD drive your screwed.

Dip into your computer funds? You can pick up a new one for less than $30... Then you can use the new one on your new computer. Your going to have to buy one anyway.

NO thats not true. You can download a miniimage file from gamecopyworld.com, and it is legal only if ya have a copy of the game. Download daemon tools v4.0-http://209.172.41.53/pmtn.com/private/daemon403-x86.exe
and here is a link the the image file ya need http://dl.gamecopyworld.com/?d=2006&f=BF2DVD!rar

Once daemon tools is installed unzip the nodvd image put it in a folder, look down near the bottom of the screen near the clock, you will see a lightning bolt, right click on it go to virtual dvd/cdrom click set number of devices, select 1 then select device0: then click mount image then simply find the nodvd image that ya unzipped and then mount it. EAsy as that.

what u mean ur cd drive is dead, do u mena it no longer opens??

If thats the problem, get a paper clip, un roll it so its a long piece of metal, & shove it into the small hole on the front of the cd drive, this will open the drive for u.

the cd drive still works, but when i put in a cd it does nothing, I geuss im gonna have to buy another cd drive but I dont want to buy another 30 dollar drive because this one was 30 lol, and i bought it two months ago. I might end up going to a freinds house and making a mini image and sending it over msn, how big would the image be?

Mine shows as 2.3 mb. In case you missed it, there is a tutorial on how to make mini-images at the top of the page,

http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54305

P.S. One more thing, if you don't have one in the computer already, don't get a cd drive, get a dvd-rom drive (even better a dvd burner if you don't have one already).

Download an image, or use a second computer to make an image, and then transfer with USB thumbstick or local network to your computer.

buy a dvd writer, they're cheap as chips now, plus most games these days are on DVD Format, also a dvd writer is cd compatible.
