Ok, from our first game I can tell you this much about AF:

Teamwork is essential or you lose. You need armor to take flags, jets to take out the enemy armor, scout choppers to..well...scout, and mobile AA to keep the jets off of you. Miss any piece of that and you're done.

Anyone else notice that the mobile UAV feature of the scout choppers was EXTREMELY valuable? They're priceless when you're trying to cap a flag.

Do me a favor .. dont pick a Holiday lol .. and use PM to let all of us know.. we pretty much all have each other added as buddies on this forum.

Also I think were all on seperate time zones except for me and endless.

Either way add me in tomorrow with a specified time.

First off read its ABBLE not Apple.. I use PC not MAC...

Secondly I tried explaing my reason for not using XFire.. to me its a new kid on the block chat proggy and I am already over taxed with message programs IRC and Team Speak.

Say what you guys want about Xfire.. just looking at it makes my skin jump... seriously you guys like it, go for it.. me personally.. Im old school I use new things every day in my line of work .. but its going to take way more than a flashy messenger to make me move.. give it functionality beyond being attractive for all the younger croud..

For petes sake I have MSN (Yahoo) I dispise it.. and Team Speak which Im in almost always with my dev team buddies and IRC with tons of open channels plus my pocket pc sits on AIM and sometimes ICQ Ventrillo which also in my opinion isnt as good as Team Speak.. Believe me Ive tried them all.. I use what works and works best.

How about the ability to see when your friends are online, what server they're playing, what team they're on and how many people are in that server - all with one click.

Very functional.

Abble, I know you're older than me, but I'm 25 and married man, I'm hardly in the younger crowd of BF2. I like it 'cause it works, that's the only reason. Like the above post says, it's very functional. Besides, all you have to do is join through xfire, then alt-tab down and log out of xfire...

Sorry guys I wasnt trying to bash anyone.. I just get annoyed easliy when it comes to the amount of programs out there to do all the same things that I currently use.. If they are ALOT better .. I use them.. otherwise its just a new twist till ALL the functionality I currently use is implemented into the new program Iwill switch to..

Currently the in game browser believe it or not also shows what servers are currently running and who is playing on them.. if the filters are set correctly.

But for the most part I join through my own system by looking to see what buddies I have online via my fav stats page and paste that IP into my game browser.. no external proggy needed.

But I can see your point about it being functional.. just not the functions I want sorry.

The server we played in on 16 slots took 6 of us to start and was still running when only 4 of us where in.

All depends on whos playing it i like EF so i would say its about the same if not alittle bit better to some people it could be much better so its all in the person and what that person likes

I like SF the best, its the one thing EA did good, then its BF2, and since i don't have any boosterpack i can't comment about that, but i think AF will rock.
I am gonna love to kick USA ***.
That little bird rocks, and driving trucks and firing will be so awesome.

PS: Those miniguns on Minibird are so darn powerfull, those are the pre-1.12 BH guns, so don't expect the pilot to line up the passengers, he will go for own kills.
