AT rockets are your friend and a plane's worst enemy

I love the one shot kill capability of the AT rockets on planes. Outside of a few road vehicles the plane is the only *real* weapon you can kill with one AT rocket. You can't even take out a lame transport chopper with one rocket.

If you get sick of airpower bombing you over and over then take it to them with AT rockets.

Yeah, that's good fun, though you wasted one on the Infantry guy on the Carrier - lol. I particularly liked the long distance shots on Gulf of Oman, very nice.

That was my favorite because I had just blown up his jet so he came looking for me. I could see him looking up before coming up the ladder so it was kind of sweet wasting him again with the rocket.

What I love is what I call collateral damage. It's when you kill the jet and the people inside, but the explosion also kills anyone standing next to the jet. I think there's two instances of that in the vid. It's a bonus kill. Lots of fun when there's a bunch of planewhores milling about waiting to jump in a jet.

Great. That's the whole idea behind this, to show the possibilities, not to show off any skills because it doesn't take much skill quite frankly. :) It's a lot of fun. It sure beats taking two or three shots at a tank or APC.

I love doing the long range Oman ownage....funny cause you can see everyone looking for you thinking you're close by. Getting on the top of the crane at the constuction site works pretty well too.

yep, i got owned tonight by an at'er at the main entrance on dalian by a ROX clan member named mac and cheese. i was dive bombing coming from the carrier in an f35, and the last thing i saw was an at rocket coming at me. it was sweet and perfect. i gave him much mad props for the shot. people deserve them when they land such nice shots. it's almost like tv'ing a jet that is pestering you. lol

How do you get your gun to stay aiming? mine always goes down and start reloading..

hold down on the left mouse, or whatever you have mapped for your main firing button/key. it should keep the scoped view for the entire length of the shot. even if not in scoped view you can aim them by doing the same thing.

I never considered taking a shot from the crane. I'll check it out. There's another spot near the construction site that's near a tree on the hill facing the MEC airfield. You're kind of exposed but if no one is around it's a great long range shot that leaves them wondering where the hell you are.

Don't be sure it’s that easy to get away with; I tried out this little snitch on a 64 player gulf of omen server and was promptly removed from it after 4 totalled jets, and no messages.

I'll find another server one day under the right conditions and try again but it seems that today’s lazy generation would rather just end the unexplained right there, rather than just taking a peek through the sniper scope.

that's lame that you got kicked for it. One time i was doing this on oman and and someone on the MEC side was calling baserape on me to a Mod...the mod told him "shut up, poptart isn't anywhere near your base" LMAO...it was awesome.

since the choppers armor has been made a lil more realistic in its inability to sustain a shot from an at rocket, i've had many,many chopper kills with rockets. guiding missiles to hovering soloist is most gratifying.

heh..not really. Choppers are extremely easy to hit, especially if they're passing low over, plus, those are bots. :P
