Hello ,
My chosen ISP is AOL, (2Meg?). Sometimes when playing BF2, my FPS nearly stops, I can hear my hardrive working on something.
After looking at task manager, I could see that the program "AOL service host exe." was whoreing all my memory , cpu etc.
Can swich off the program or get round the interferance somehow?
I have heard some bad press about aol, Unfortunately I am cotracted to them for another 8 months so I can't sling them out just yet!
Please help me sort this out so that I can kill you all! (BF2)
Thanks Neil.

perhaps changin the priority of both bf2.exe and that aol.exe,, bf2 to high and maybe aol to below normal?

ctrl+alt+del to get task manager up the game would have to be running first, no its not dangerous its just reallocating the system resources

disable as much of that aol junk as you can...i'm guessing w/aol's broadband (really just your local isp leased through them) you can get on the 'net without having to sign into any of their software... I'd bring up task manager and delete and processes not being used, I turn off my anti-virus, windows defender, etc... before I play bf2..
