today this message stopped me from playing about 5-6 times... I'm getting worked up.
What does it mean??! What should I do to prevent it?
ps.: I think its sound related and appears randomly while playing and freezes BF2...

heh i used to have an SB live soundcard and never had problems with it mind you i never really updated the drivers i just stuck to the ones that were given on the disc, as the old saying goes 'if it aint broke dont fix it',,
have you tried reverting back to older drivers if its possible of course?

Yes, I have the older drivers but it seems that I solved the problem. I updated(?) the OpenAl file and there was no error message in half an hour of singleplayer tesing yet... So its great that Creativ gives OpenAL support to BF2 but its ****ed up :(
