The term "lag"

Greetings all,

I see a lot of posts about "lag" issues.

But,
this term can mean different things -

* slow FPS (screen lag)

* slow response to game actions (net lag)

Many conversations here can get confused due to mixing up these meanings.

My suggestion :
Do NOT use the term "lag" at all when asking for help here.

Just describe what you experience, e.g. :
"when I get more than a few players on screen, my screen FPS drops sharply".

Some people say "lag" is net lag,
some say "lag" is FPS slowdown.

That's the point :-)

Best to NOT use the term, but describe exactly what you mean - i.e. my FPS drops, or 'net response slows down.
