New Sniper Trick - Save your life

Tried this out the other night and it worked everytime (15/15). For all of you snipers out there that have been getting crushed by the new commander's ability to drop vehicles on your head, here is a way to get back at them.

While you are prone and taking shots just keep the E key held down. It does not interfer with your aiming or shooting. It is tricky if you have to get up and run, but most of the time a commander will not try and drop a vehicle on you if you are moving around alot.

As soon as the commander drops the vehicle on you, you automatically enter the vehicle and receive ZERO damage, as long as you continue to hold down that E key. You can then exit the vehicle, and move or retake your postition to start firing again.

Let me tell you I really ****ed that commander off last night, he must have tried at least 20 times to squash me, he missed about 5 times and then I entered and then exited the other 15 vehicles he dropped on me unharmed.

This was on flat land so there was no chance of the vehicle flipping and exploding on me. This technique is not good if you are on building tops, unless totally flat, or moutain areas with a lot of slopes, because if the commander explodes the vehicle you are toast weither you are standing next to it or you enter into it.

Just a tip I thought I would pass on!

Sorry I forgot to put in that this also works while crouching and standing, as long as you keep that E key down. I perfer to be prone since the accuracy is better, that is why I automatically typed that in the above post.

I usually use this tactic while waiting for Armor or an APC to respawn, then you automatically enter it when the vehicle spawns, so I figured I would try it while sniping! IT REALLY DOES WORK

Excellent. I would have never thought of that:D The first time I came across that, the comander missed, but after that, he hit, so I just had to remain moving around to confuse him. But if he is watching me, then how can he comand:confused: Seems snipers are more than just far distance killers hiding on roof tops nad grassy areas, but a distraction for the comander.

As a comander, I just spot the sniper and let my team take hime out, duh. My team my need that vehicle and I just squased one sniper with it, now what?

Just remember to move along in case the vehicle goes boom.

Also, sometimes it is quite useful to get a machine gun on top of a building. Blazed Hotel for a while - had so much fun that I died eventually - but the K/D ratio made it all worthwhile.

Just keep an eye out for the top of your screen, I normally see the parachute symbol with the distance marker on it, if its less than 10m slide to one side, hop in, drive it to one side or use it to get somewhere you normally can't :p

Do enemy cars also show up in your screen? Yes they probably do and I'm probably so tired that I can't figure it out myself :(.

FYI: This tip will help you with vehicles NOT supply crates.

I ticked off a commander so bad the other night that he resorted to dropping supply crates on me to crush me. He wasted soooo many vehicle drops it was not funny, and I was picking off his men before they could even get near me, so he was wasting valuable supply crates that his team could have used just to try and crush me. (And yes the first one did, but after that I learned my lesson. So as stated above:

Should have used the first crate to repair his artillery, and used THAT on you! Arty on a single sniper is a bit of a waste, but if he's killing your guys, ya gotta do something, right? Sounds like the enemy commander had "target fixation" so bad he lost all view of the big picture.

Kind of off subject...One night i was waiting for my Cobra to spawn on the Essex and my buddy was right there beside me, when all of the sudden i was inside a light jeep out of nowhere. It got some laughs from those who were watching....and i had no idea what happened as this was right as 1.3 came out . Funny story :-D

Hold down, you can use it to whore other vehicles when they spawn aswell.

BUT it doesnt work 100%! if they drop it onto the roof in karkand square, it will fall off the side. Now the first thing yr gonna do is press E to get out and youll die from the fall, or get crushed by the falling car. Just wait untill the car hits the floor get out and run!

good tip but do you really sit there and hold e the whole round. I play with everything on high and usually see the shadow of a falling car. look up take 2 steps to the side and thank enemy commander for the ride.lol

I would like to add on more useful item. If you hide under trees, when you are a sniper, cars and supply boxes cant fall on you. They bounce and go off to the side. I just thought I would add this as it kinda fits the topic of this thread. You can still get killed with the arty but it would kill you any way. Good Luck. . . . . .Red
