No of course not, the memory in your RAM and the memory in your graphics card are 2 totally different things

nope, but it still helps to have more video memory, except your card has a 128bit interface, so it is a waste to have anything more than 256mb. lol.

yes, but only if you pry the memory off, and solder it to the appropriate connections (you'll have to fabricate those, too) on the other side of a single-sided 512mb stick.
Let's do it! But I insist you buy the ram, and I insist that you supply the beer that will be needed in order to pull off such a delicate task.

I concure 100%. You don't even deserve a calculator. You should be forced to use an abacus.

Um, let's try to be a bit nicer. I can see this being a legitimate question if one were new to computers.

I figured as much. Maybe next time you want to post a theory like this one, do some research on google first, otherwise people like me will jump all over you.

Actually, 1 GB of RAM is enough to play the game well, you're just going to get some stutter near the beginning of the game and slower loading times. 1.5 GB is probably all you'll ever need.

Putz? Did I start a post along the lines of "duh... I'm getting a new pc, want to skite, so instead I'll ask if an X2 3800 with 2GB of RAM and a 7900GT will run BF2 gud".
Your forum name and avatar are very apt.
