i dont know if this is very useful for u but for me it is. if u want to brake the speed locks and after some seconds it goes down but my trick does that the brake go down fast. do this: use the afterburner but only click and release fast and then start breaking! i use this over landing places to get full ammo. ;)

I think he's saying you hit SHIFT for afterburners, release AB qucikly and then slow the plane down with W or reverse thrust.

:edit: any pilots want to confirm this?

i think he means slow right down, but keep yourself in the air by tapping the afterburner as it gives you a big speed boost, so you can go over the runways extremly slow without crashing.

And who.... didn't... know that?:laugh::)

No. What he meant was. Tap the burner and start slowing down immediately after that. Could anyone test this out?

Do you speak a second language?
I had no problem understanding it - Maybe because English is not my first language :D

Maybe it's because I'm used to international English forums where people write in all kind of ways - you learn to understand even the most cryptic descriptions that way ;)

Don't worry mate. Your English is fine. :)
It's not easy at all to explain game processes in a foreign language.

I don't get what the afterburners do, why not just brake without the afterburners? The only reason why it seems you are braking more is because you were originally going a faster speed because of the afterburners.

BF2 has many strange phenomenons, bugs and whatnot. This might actually work.

It does seem work at least with the F35 I found out yesterday.
Tapping the afterburner just before stalling also seems to increase the responsiveness of the reverse/hover function when approaching at low speeds.

There are a lot of idiots who just can't understand anything unless it's explained at the retarded level for them.

Hope this tip works yehaaa.

The important part of his post was written in correct English, the hard part was to figure out why it would work anyways... BTW, I'm also from Sweden, and English is not my first language, am I good at English? Feel free to comment ;)...

NO YOU ARE NOT! YOU SUCK! Joking.

I dont know why its working, but my guess is that the afterburner increases the responsiveness of the jet afterall, even for a short while. Its odd how it works, and Im sure he doesnt know why it works, I dont either.

 ... What has this thread turned into? A language lesson, anyone?

AlphaNut

Works - same thing when wanting to turn very sharp. Go off the throttle, click afterburner, give a littlebit of throttle, and turn. The throttle will response a lot quicker then it does without pressing the afterburner.

afterburner = there is definately some thing wrong with this word...

Why would clicking the afterburner without throttle do anything at all? Isn't ab only active if the throttle is on? Is this a joystick-only thing where you can set the throttle instead of just on/off? I can't get it to work.

Does it only work with hover jets?

if you have a joystick you can put the gas where ever you want it from 0%- 100% but i have no idea what this kid was trying to explain.
