prolly a stupid question

ok this is prolly a stupid question and i have been all over this site looking for an answer.
problem is this: i spent the better part of 2 days downloading single player maps. alot of these maps have installers in them. but when i start the game and go to single player only a few show up. where the heck are the other maps? why don't they show up in my list?
any help on this matter would be appreciated. thanks for you time in this matter

I know nothing about custom maps, but all the maps for the game are stored in EA games\battlefield 2\mods\bf2\levels. Maybe you have to manually put the custon levels in there.

i have no idea but it is worth a try. thanks though, if anyone else has any ideas please feel free to give them to me

Alot of single player maps are made for mods. Make sure when you download them, they are not meant for them, or go get the mod.
