View Full Version : Another Restart???

This is getting weird, I don't know what is wrong or what is the cause of it, but on BF2 2 days ago it froze and restarted my computer, I went on Quake 4 today it froze restarted computer, why is it doing this?? is something overheating, it sounds generic to me, but is there anything I can do to prevent this or detect what is causing this?

have a look at event viewer under the admin tools in control panel,

Your OS might have found a problem (restarts itself to try and fix it)

Souljah, first take off the side cover and make sure all your fans are spinning. It's summer and alot of times your thermal issues will rear their ugly head this time of year. I concur with the above post but just wanted to save you the trouble if you could just eyeball a dead fan. check your cpu temp and video card temp, also you might want to check your power supply if all the above and the prior post dont resolve your problem. as a final check I recommend you check your stand off posts your mother board sits on, sometimes it can ground out restarting your computer, but that does not happen very often. hope this helps.

Alright thanks but where can I check the temps, is there a program?

I can't go through that event viewer theres too many, I click into application and theres like 10,000 things there, and same with security and the rest of them, it would take me forever to locate the BF2 error.

This exact same thing is happening to me, and it's been about 2-3 days for me as well. Not sure what is going on. It is hot right now, so maybe that is it...but it's been this hot before already (hotter even) this year.

It's like 30 degrees and up in the day time, gets cooler at night though.
