"You have lost your connection"

I have been playing BF2 for about 2 months. All was well, but over the past week i have been get the message. "You have lost your connection" I have not changed anything to the settings so i thought it might be the patch. So i uninstalled and re-installed, but still got the same message, even after leaving it on its base model, with no patchs.

Has anyone got any ideas on how to fix this??

Wait till the patch 1.4 comes out. It should fix all this.

Hey Tomaff-
I have been having the exact same problem as you have. When I am searching for an internet game, I am on the menu for one or two minutes and I will be kicked back to the account screen and have to log in again. If I am quick enough I CAN get into a game, otherwise i get the "lost connection" error message. I have tried reinstalling the game and re-patching, it seems to be 1.3 patch or EA side.
I have read the 'bf2 freezes' thread, it as an un-related thread save the fact both problems persist with version 1.3.
Lets hope EA gets their act together with 1.4..

Thanks for the feedback. It says lost connection when you are ingame. And will take you back to the server screen. Before doing this it runs smoothly at about 90fps on full graphics. Then it disconnects. It can be between anything from 1 min to 1 hour. It just makes up its own mind how long you can play. It must be the game as i play alot of online games and all run fine.

Usually when that kind of disconnection happens to me, its a server side crash that affects anyone on that server. Hoping 1.4 brings some joy to that issue.

With my luck the Lost Connection occurs just a kill or two away from a ribbion or badge. I had three of those today.
