After playing on wake for about 120 hours i noticed what is required for USMC to win.As you may know the u.s. has a disadvantage on wake since the chinese have the j-10s and get to occupie the island first. here are a few tips.
1. Teamwork
this is VERY IMPORTANT without teamwork and orginazation you can not win this map unless everyone on your team is a super hacker. form squads and make sure your squad is not 6 support people. and stay together dont get spread out. Same goes for every map.
2. Patience
NEVER NEVER NEVER go right for the north or south tips of the Island in boats that is suicide the chinese will 99% of the time have enemy tanks or favs waiting to tear you to shreads. be patient and stay away from land travel on the edge of the map then go for one of the lesser flags like beach or north base. also if you are the chooper pilot fly up high so that the j-10s cant see you.
3. Coordination
This is hard to do but it helps alot for instance if you get the jet pilots in a squad the commander can then tell them where a highly concentrated group of enemys that are defending a flag are and they can bomb the hell out of it.allowing the ground forces to swoop in and take the flag
4. Defense
I have seen this happen too many times USMC has the airfield but fails to guard it. The airfield is the most valueable flag whoever posses it will most likly win if the u.s. has it it stops the enemy from using the j-10s and attack choppers leaving the entire enemy ground force defensles. YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE PERSON GUARDING IT IF YOU OWN IT.
5. Get your ahss off the carrier
Your mission is not to hold the carrier it is to take the island get out there and fight. with over half of the USMC people on the carrier at the start of the game waiting for jets its almost imposible to win.

It took 120 hours to figure this out?
All that is needed is one good team. Fly in blackhawk at high altitude, go to beah or NW base, tell buys on the side of the chopper closest to land to bail, turn the helo around, then tell other side to bail, so they land close to the flag. If theyre good, one or two will leave to create their own squads for people to spawn on them. Next, fly back to the carrier and pick up some other guys (except for the douches teamkilling each other), and repeat this process. Even one good team can give the enemy a run for their money by cooperatively capping flags and having a scrap of strategy.

When I started doing that last year, everybody would yell at me and say, "What the hell are you doing???? Going to the moon????", and then they would jump into the ocean.
A few actually stayed in the chopper and when I told them to HALO in to the main flag, they got the idea and loved it.

The best way to take the airfield as USMC is to get both blackhawks as full as you can get them.Have the cobra escort you all the way around the map and enter from the South....most people are gonna be waiting for jets and the others are facing north to defend the assault on the island. Have fun : )

J-10s hunting for blackhawks don't care if they are escorted by Cobras. The cobra is just another target to them.

The Cobra escort thing wasn't meant to "scare off" any J-10's, i agree if you have a skilled pilot that sees you, you're going down anyway, however it does help if flying close to the coast for the cobra to take out AA or any armor that is around the area. Anything to make the trip easier. Plus you should be flying those choppers at 300ft or more anyway, hopefully making it harder for the j-10 who are raping the carrier and looking for the f35's to gun you down.

How to win USMC Wake? Take the plane jump out at the airfiled as squadleader. Have 5 other players on you. Hold the airfield and counter rape the other team :D

yea the airfield is one of the most important maps...
usually i just go by myself (so the commander wont waste a UAV on me) and then capture the beach
(hint..on the beach theres a small sandbag bunker building and if u hide in it, ur safe from artillery and most other things...and once u have a spawn point on the island, its a pretty good start

stonrgly agree on #4 take the airbase, guard it and the j-10'ss run out of juice and become useless.

i dont really agree with using the jet as an insertion method but then again i dont agree with them making the j-10 "god of the skys" when in real life they suck worse then vaccum cleaners.

thats why you take the hawk high in the air. pilots never fly high like you would in real life, they stay relativly low.

IMO what the US needs to do is this, it requires some teamwork but not to the extent of VOIP.
US needs to cap the airfield flag and let the pilots get off their A$$es and defend teh airfield at all costs. EVENTUALLY the J10s will run out of ammo or missiles and then they are easy prey for the F35s, which can then get in a much better F18 from teh airstrip and rape the remaining bases.
It's a great feeling when after half a round of raping, you cap the entire southern half of the island Blitzkrieg-style and rape the SH!T out of the Chinese jet whores.

Have done that many times. And if you are the squad leader people can keep spawning in the Black Hawk and HALO'ing to Wake Flag XXX. Till the China team gets a pilot that sees the Black Hawk.

Another thing is to be quick. Get off the carrier with enough force to take a flag right when you spawn. Their vehicles might not be fully manned to take you out and they might not yet have a commander for arty and uav support.

I take out the J10s WAY before they are out of ammo. Try a few seconds after the round starts.

I love how when all the J-10 whores are being raped to hell and they all start crying...
"OMG WTF METALLICA STOP RAPING THE AIRFIELD!"
Meanwhile the idiots crying run back to the chopper/jet pad over... and over... and over.... and over.... and over..... (repeat 20 times... lol) and I kill them every time, cause they're so predictable.
They always say "why do you have to rape the airfield? WHY?"
Well I'll tell ya why..
Cause I know, if i'm not keeping the J-10/Z-10/AA/tanks down, then I know the J-10 would be at our carrier raping away.
Another thing, everyone knows the crazy imbalance with J-10's... if they get up in the air, the chances are VERY high that they are going to shoot you down with those cheap *** missles.. Basically, that imbalance is the whole reason I keep the J-10's down.
