To answer a lot of questions; Will #BFBC2 PC have dedicated servers the user will control? YES!
We are making a PC version, not a port. Gameplay & services will be done specific to the platform.
our PC version will be a true PC version. If you play on a PC you play with your Keyboard & Mouse.

Battlefield was born on the PC, it grew up with dedicated servers and even when it left the nest and became multiplatform it remembers it's roots. We're doing the PC version of BC2 right. We won't stomach a console port tossed off to some "lesser" studio like our competitors chose to do. We've got our top PC devs working on the PC version side by side with the console team. We don't do ports. It's not the game we'd want to play, and we know it's not the game you want to play either.

This is great to hear. I have my faith in DICE to create an awesome PC game. They haven't let me down yet and it's good to see you guys not following the crowd down the console/PC standardisation path

    Lmao, good ol' Dice.

Years of everyone singing IW praises and calling DICE every name possible, and now the turnaround.

DICE loves the community but they're just really slow about it. <3

Everything is great now except one thing, squad system. For PC it has to be BF2 style, 1 squad leader 5/4 squad members. Spawn possible only on squad leader unlike bfbc where you can spawn on any squad member.

Edit: oh yes and killcam must die.

DICE really going for the kill with this MW2 hoopla. although i find that COD:MW and BF games aren't really the same genre so they shouldn't be in direct competition. to me games like COD and CS cater to different gamers than BF. it's just that BF doesn't really have direct competition in their vehicular/sandbox fps war genre. i just hope BF isn't headed towards being more infantry oriented in hopes of supplanting COD:MW.

not to be a debbie downer, but DICE did do what seemed to me as a straight up port for mirror's edge and didn't even bother to change xbox controller icons.

but yeah for BF series titles i'll believe what they promise for now.
